Responsibilities
- Teach courses in the approved discipline
- Provide instruction to facilitate student acquisition of the specific learning outcomes identified for the assigned courses
- Mentor students inside and outside of the classroom
- Create and maintain an effective learning environment in the modalities of the courses assigned
- Engage in instructional preparation
- Provide timely feedback to students and respond to student communications in a timely manner
- Assess student performance and submit final grades in a timely fashion
- Maintain ethical and professional behavior
- Be available to students by appointment
- Attend adjunct faculty meetings
- Assess courses on departmental and institutional levels
- Complete any required training
Requirements
- Current license in field of experience
- Minimum Southern Association of Colleges and Schools credential standards for faculty teaching courses designed for workforce certificate or degree completion
- Associate degree and/or 2-5 years work experience in the field of study; Bachelor’s degree and/or 6-10 years work experience in the field of study and/or credentialed in the field of study; Master’s degree and/or 11-15 years work experience in the field of study and/or credentialed in the field of study; Doctorate degree and/or 16+ years work experience in the field of study and/or credentialed in the field of study
- Excellent knowledge of The Cardiac System, Proper EKG placement, ability to read EKG strip and interpret results, Rhythms, Waveforms and recognize heart issues
- Minimum of 5 years working with EKG strips, actively working as Registered Nurse or Paramedic, working with EKG strips professionally and continuing education ongoing
Qualifications
- Required Education: Current license in field of experience. Minimum Southern Association of Colleges and Schools credential standards for faculty teaching courses designed for workforce certificate or degree completion. These standards include an appropriate academic degree and demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline. Transcripts, certificates, and/or license must be submitted with application.
- Required Experience: Adjunct instructor must have excellent knowledge of The Cardiac System, Proper EKG placement, be able to read EKG strip and interpret results, Rhythms, Waveforms and recognize heart issues. Minimum of 5 years working with EKG strips, actively working as Registered Nurse or Paramedic, working with EKG strips professionally and continuing education ongoing.
