Adjunct Instructor: Educational Psychology
The Department of Educational Psychology at the University of North Texas invites applications for adjunct instructor positions. This posting is for the Fall 2026, Spring 2027, and Summer 2027 semesters.
About the Role
This position involves teaching courses that may include but are not limited to undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Special Education, Human Development & Family Science. Specific courses and schedules vary based on departmental needs.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in Special Education, Human Development & Family Science, or related fields as assigned.
- Develop and deliver engaging lectures and facilitate discussions.
- Evaluate student performance and provide feedback.
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to deadlines.
Requirements
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Special Education, Human Development and Family Science, Research Methodology, Measurement and Evaluation, or Statistics.
- A minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in SPED or HDFS or RMS.
- Previous teaching experience in higher education.
- Experience with online teaching and Canvas.
- Experience as a special education teacher in a school setting.
Qualifications
- Experience with HSI/MSIs and/or proficiency in Spanish, Vietnamese, American Sign Language, Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin and other variations), Arabic, Tagalog, Farsi, French, or Yoruba is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and colleagues.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in using Canvas and other educational technology tools.
