ADJUNCT INSTRUCTOR – DOCTOR OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION/DISSERTATION CHAIR

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and guide candidates through the dissertation process, from proposal development to final defense.
  • Provide timely, constructive feedback on literature reviews, research methodologies (quantitative and qualitative), and data analysis.
  • Mentor students in scholarly writing, APA style, and ethical research practices.
  • Lead dissertation committees, coordinating feedback and ensuring students meet Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and program standards.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate student milestones to ensure timely program completion.
  • Deliver high-quality instruction for DBA-level courses.
  • Facilitate engaging online discussions, grade doctoral-level assignments, provide quality feedback and expert insight into complex business concepts.

Job Qualifications

  • Necessary Education or Work Experience:
    • A terminal degree (DBA or PhD in Business or a related field) from an accredited institution is required.
    • Prior experience in dissertation supervision or committee service is highly preferred.
    • Proficiency in advanced research methodologies, including quantitative and qualitative research.
    • Proven experience teaching at the graduate or doctoral level, preferably in an online format.
    • Significant leadership experience in the corporate or non-profit sector is highly valued.
  • Required Knowledge and Skills:
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to supporting diverse, working-professional students.
