Adjunct Instructor

Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is seeking a part-time instructor for the Fall 2026 semester (August 2026 – December 2026).

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses
• Prepare instructional materials and lesson plans
• Grade student work
• Hold weekly office hours to support students

Requirements

• Advanced degree or relevant experience in the field of instruction
• Commitment to excellence in teaching and student development
• Excellent verbal/written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe, Office 365, OneDrive, and Zoom
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Prior experience working with students bound for graduate or professional schools (ideal)

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear
• Frequently required to reach with hands and arms
• Occasionally required to stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision and ability to adjust focus

Work Environment

• Work is performed on-site in Albany, NY with consistent in-person collaboration
• No substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions
• Remote work must be performed in a state where the College is registered to do business (New York, Massachusetts, Maine, New Jersey, Maryland, California, Texas, Wisconsin, Florida, Idaho)
