About the role

The Social Science & Policy Studies department at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) is seeking part-time adjunct faculty to teach day and/or evening classes in six programs: Economic Science, International Development, Environmental and Sustainability Studies, Learning Sciences & Technologies, Psychological Science, and Society, Technology and Policy. These programs offer both graduate and undergraduate majors and minors.

Responsibilities

  • Teach day and/or evening classes in various programs within the department.
  • Work with the department's esteemed faculty to develop innovative and cutting-edge courses.
  • Propose new courses based on your expertise in a related discipline.
  • Engage with WPI's exceptional students to enhance their learning experience.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in a related field.
  • Significant practical experience in the relevant area.
  • Successful undergraduate or graduate teaching experience.

Qualifications

  • Strong commitment to teaching and student success.
  • Ability to adapt to a variety of teaching styles and subject matter.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Skills

  • Effective classroom management skills.
  • Ability to engage diverse student populations.
  • Experience with technology integration in teaching.

Pay

$6,000 per course

Schedule

Positions will be filled on an as needed basis. Start dates will vary by course and semester.
