Job Summary

Mercy University's School of Education Studies is seeking adjunct faculty members to teach foundational courses including Special Education, Leadership, Secondary Education, Early Childhood /Childhood Education, Literacy, and TESOL programs.

Required Skills & Experience

• A teaching certificate from the relevant field
• Teaching experiences in K-12 schools
• Teaching experiences in Higher Education
• Experiences in online teaching and learning
• Willingness to work with students from diverse backgrounds and needs
• Collegiality with other faculty members
• Effectiveness in communication
• Skilled to prepare teacher candidates for working with students with diverse learning needs in a variety of settings

Education Requirements

• A doctoral/M.S. degree from a relevant field (such as Early Childhood/Childhood Education, Special Education, Educational Leadership, Literacy, TESOL, Secondary Education)
• A teaching certificate from the relevant field (e.g., SWD, Childhood Education, Social Studies)

Preferred, but not mandatory

• Ability to teach on the Dobbs Ferry and Bronx campuses in person during the day
