College of DuPage seeks adjunct faculty members to teach Psychology courses. Opportunities may exist to teach a flexible schedule that may include days, evenings, and weekends.

About the Role

Adjunct Faculty instructors at College of DuPage are responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom, lab, or clinical settings. Courses may be conducted in various delivery modes, such as face-to-face, online, hybrid, and/or blended formats.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver instruction in Psychology courses
  • Teach in face-to-face, online, hybrid, or blended formats
  • Evaluate students and submit required paperwork related to instruction
  • Teach on campus for face-to-face classes
  • Utilize personal technology for remote or online teaching as required

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, or a Master’s degree in a related area with at least 18 graduate-level hours in Psychology
  • Graduate-level coursework in quantitative reasoning (e.g., Statistics or Quantitative Research Methods)
  • College-level teaching experience preferred
  • Proficiency in designing instruction to engage students preferred
  • Experience in online or virtual teaching preferred
  • Access to personal technology and a home computer capable of supporting online teaching
  • A pre-employment background check is required

Pay

These positions are paid by stipends for course assignments.
