About the role
The University of New Haven is searching for adjunct instructors in Psychology to support the instructional needs of the Psychology and Sociology Department. The position involves teaching one or more undergraduate psychology courses, including: Introduction to Psychology, Adolescent Development, Social Psychology, and Theories of Personality.
Responsibilities
- Teach one or more undergraduate psychology courses
- Support the instructional needs of the Psychology and Sociology Department
- Prepare courses with best pedagogical practice in mind
- Use instructional technology effectively
- Adopt Canvas LMS for course management
Requirements
- At least a master's degree or Ph.D. in Psychology
- At least one year of experience teaching college-level preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Familiarity with, or the ability to quickly adopt, the Canvas LMS
Qualifications
- Valid work authorization at the time of application
