Adjunct Faculty Pool - Psychology AY 26-27

About the role

The Psychology department collects applications on an ongoing basis to fill vacancies throughout the academic year. Review of applications occurs as new sections or instructors are needed.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate sections of courses in psychology in one or more of the following core areas: Introduction to Psychology I, Introduction to Psychology II, Cognition, Decision-making, Experimental Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Human Development, Developmental Psychopathology, Motivation, Psychology of Women and Gender, Social Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Psychopathology, Counseling, Human Sexuality, Perception, Personal and Social Adjustment, Research Methods, Social Science Statistics and Data Analysis, Native American Psychology, Infant Development, Psychology of Eating Disorders, Neuroscience.

Requirements

• M.S. or M.A. in Psychology (or closely related field).
• Previous teaching experience.
• Instructor must reside in Oregon or SW Washington.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Psychology (or closely related field).
• Previous experience teaching large undergraduate classes in psychology.

Compensation

Adjunct faculty members are paid per credit hour per the AFT Collective Bargaining Agreement which can be found at https://www.pdx.edu/academic-affairs/academic-unions#psufa.
