Position Overview

The Physical Therapy Institute at Midwestern University, Glendale, Arizona, seeks a Physical Therapist to provide clinical coverage and oversee students.

Responsibilities

  • Direct patient care within the Physical Therapy Institute, focusing on outpatient musculoskeletal, geriatric, and neurological rehabilitation
  • Supervise and mentor physical therapy students during patient care activities in the clinical setting
  • Collaborate with full-time faculty, staff, and learners to support high-quality patient care and clinical education

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from a CAPTE-accredited program
  • Minimum of three (3) years of outpatient clinical experience
  • Prior experience working with physical therapy students and/or residents
  • Current Arizona Physical Therapy license (or eligibility at time of hire)
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a collaborative team member with faculty, staff, and students from diverse backgrounds
  • Required Qualifications

    • Regular part-time clinic position with a predictable baseline schedule
    • Opportunity for increased hours during high patient wait times, provider outages, and faculty/staff leave

    About the Institute

    The Physical Therapy Institute at Midwestern University, Glendale, Arizona, provides ongoing part-time (up to 2 days/week) clinical coverage, with the potential for additional hours during periods of increased patient demand, provider leave, or temporary staffing needs. This position is clinic-based and does not include classroom teaching or didactic responsibilities.
