Adjunct Faculty, Physical Therapist Assistant (Pooled Position)
Responsibilities
Demonstrate (1) a mastery of their specific discipline; (2) a deep commitment to the college mission of fostering student success, academic achievement, and persistence; (3) technological competence; and (4) the ability to use skills and strategies that engage students in ways that facilitate learning and prepare students for productive lives.
Employ teaching methods to accommodate various levels of academic preparation and incorporate appropriate and engaging technology across different modalities of instruction to facilitate student learning.
Facilitate the needs of different learners across programs by implementing responsive pedagogical techniques and effective practices for engaging students.
Engage in student consultation, course preparation, review of course outlines, and preparation of course syllabi.
Provide prompt and constructive support to students through regular office hours and timely feedback on assessments and activities.
Provide prompt feedback to student emails.
Adhere to all reporting deadlines such as grade processing, enrollment verification, syllabus submission, and textbook adoption.
Participate in service to the college and its community.
Requirements
The minimum qualifications and experience required for this position include:
- A minimum of 3 years full-time work experience in the field.
- Prior college teaching experience is preferred.
Qualifications
The minimum education requirement is an Associate Science Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant or a Masters or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy AND Licensed in Florida as a Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant.
Skills
A high level of digital literacy and a commitment to teaching are essential.
