About the role
College of DuPage seeks adjunct faculty members to teach PE - Swimming/Water Aerobics. COD faculty are committed to facilitate and support student success in learning. We strive to meet the individual educational needs of our unique, multicultural campus. The successful adjunct candidate will be committed to teaching in a multicultural environment and welcome the opportunity to work with students with diverse learning abilities. Opportunities may exist to teach a flexible schedule that may include teaching assignments during days, evenings and weekends.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Course planning and instruction in classroom, lab, or clinical settings
- Courses may be conducted in various delivery modes, such as face-to-face, online, hybrid and/or blended formats
- Student evaluation
- Timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or higher required
- Teaching experience in swim-related physical/exercise activity classes required
- Nationally accredited group fitness certification preferred
- Availability in either Summer 2026 and/or Fall 2026
- In-person classes during the day; must be available to come to campus
- Ability to teach remotely with technology and experience in online or virtual teaching preferred
- Access to personal technology, home computer with appropriate ability to teach online required
These positions are paid by stipends for course assignments. A pre-employment background check at the College's expense is required.
