Adjunct Faculty, Phlebotomy

Responsibilities
- Teach one or more Phlebotomy courses according to approved course descriptions, outlines, textbooks, and syllabi.
- Prepare lecture and lesson plans, deliver lectures and/or conduct lab portions of the class.
- Respond to and grade student work.
- Use appropriate academic software such as Canvas, Microsoft PowerPoint, etc.
- Observe safety and liability limitation protocols.
- Observe medical confidentiality or related protocols.
- Maintain current knowledge of subject matter.
- Participate in college governance and other academic activities.
Requirements
- Current certification in Phlebotomy from ASCP-BOC, NCCT, AMT, or NHA.
- One year of Phlebotomy experience with valid proof of over 100 successful venipunctures within one year.
- Three years of documented continuing professional education within the past three years.
Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is desired.
Skills
Ability to teach using a variety of teaching styles, maintain office/discipline/grade/division records, be available for student consultation, and use appropriate College policies and procedures to resolve and document student complaints, concerns, and problems.

Pay
Per load hour compensation schedule for 2025-2026: $1,373, and for 2026-2027: $1,414.
