Job Summary
About the role
The Media Studies program of the Communication and the Arts Department at Mercy University seeks part-time, adjunct instructors to teach Media Studies courses to undergraduate students.
Responsibilities
- Teach up to three section(s) of any given course, with an emphasis on journalism, radio and television production and film studies, with a maximum of three course assignments per semester.
- Commitment to teaching with inclusive excellence is required.
- Candidates may also be asked to provide assistance with program assessment and development and to attend select programmatic or professional development meetings.
Requirements
- Day and Evening teaching opportunities.
- Courses may be offered at the Dobbs Ferry, Manhattan, or Bronx campuses, or online.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience successfully teaching Media Studies at the college-level.
Skills
- Independently with great levels of responsibility, while collaborating and communicating with a multi-campus team, required.

- Compensation is based on a semester and calculated on a semi-monthly pay cycle.
