Essential Functions

  • Develop and deliver lectures
  • Prepare and grade assignments
  • Learn and use the learning management system - Canvas
  • Provide time during the week to meet with students outside of class (i.e. office hours)
  • Verify presence and submit grades to the Registrar at the end of the semester

Prerequisite Qualifications

  • Previous teaching experience
  • Master's degree from an accredited institution in the area applicable to teaching area
  • Currently employed with duties related to the teaching subject area
  • Sustained academic or business related or professional engagement activities within the last 5 years
  • If you have taught any college-level course before, submit teaching evaluations
  • All candidates must provide at least two reference letters focusing on teaching/presentation skills, domain knowledge, and willingness to help others (students)
  • All candidates must include a personal statement

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. from an AACSB accredited institution in the area applicable to teaching area
  • Professional engagement activities which involve application of specialized knowledge

Pay Information

In compliance with the NJ Pay Transparency Law, the rate for this position is $2668 per contact hour (USD). NJIT considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses or other items.
