Adjunct Faculty - Geography

Job Summary

The Online Geography Instructor is responsible for teaching geography courses in a fully online environment using the D2L Brightspace learning management system. This position requires effective communication, timely responsiveness to students, and accurate recordkeeping and reporting.

Job Duties

• Teach geography courses in an online format using the learning management system (LMS) D2L Brightspace.
• Instruction and Student Engagement.
• Assessment and Grading.
• Student Support and Communication.
• Technology and Platform Management.
• Adhere to Institutional policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Geography or Geosciences or master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours in any combination of Geography or Geosciences.
• Must be state of TN resident.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a Geography or Geosciences.
• Previous online teaching experience desired.
