About the role
The Arizona College of Nursing seeks adjunct instructors to teach on campus and in-person. This position requires a master’s degree or higher from an accredited program, with a minimum of 15 credit hours or equivalent in the assigned subject area. Two years of practical experience in the course content area with a related degree, or three years of practical experience if the degree is in an unrelated field, is also required. A minimum of three years of work experience as an educator is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide a learning experience in the classroom, online, and/or in the lab using various teaching methods.
- Evaluate student achievements through grading tests and projects, maintaining grade books, tracking attendance, and performing other administrative duties.
- Administer oral, written, or performance tests to measure progress and evaluate training effectiveness.
- Participate in ongoing conferences, seminars, and training sessions.
- Provide input and participate in academic committees.
Requirements
- Masters’ degree or higher from an accredited program recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
- A minimum of 15 credit hours or equivalent in the assigned subject area.
- Two years of practical experience in the course content area with a related degree, or three years of practical experience if the degree is in an unrelated field.
- A minimum of three years of work experience as an educator.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in English.
