Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• State of Ohio Firefighter II certification.
• State of Ohio Fire and Emergency Services Instructor II certification.
• State of Ohio Live Fire Instructor certification.
• State of Ohio Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience as a certified Firefighter II.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent).
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Prior college-level teaching experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Science.
• Master’s degree in any field.

Health & Safety

• Participate in periodic meetings with supervisors, divisions, and college committees regarding teaching responsibilities, training, and professional development.

Residency Requirement

If hired, candidates must reside in the State of Ohio and be within commuting distance of the Western Campus to meet on-site teaching responsibilities, per college policy 3354:1-40-01.2 Adjunct Faculty Hiring and Employment Procedure.
