Adjunct Faculty, English Literature

Fairfield University’s Department of English is seeking part-time adjunct instructors to teach core and introductory literature courses beginning in September 2026. Selected candidates may teach up to two existing 3-credit course sections. Renewal of the position is possible based on departmental needs and funding.

Responsibilities

• Teach up to two 3-credit core/introductory literature courses per semester.
• Perform additional duties as required by the department or supervisor.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in English.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching literature courses.
