Adjunct Faculty, Earth Science - FA26

About the Role

College of DuPage seeks adjunct faculty members to teach Earth Science. Faculty are committed to facilitating and supporting student success in learning, meeting the individual educational needs of a unique, multicultural campus. The successful candidate will be committed to teaching in a multicultural environment and welcome the opportunity to work with students with diverse learning abilities.

Opportunities may exist to teach a flexible schedule that may include days, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Course planning and instruction in classroom, lab, or clinical settings (courses may be conducted in face-to-face, online, hybrid, and/or blended formats).
• Student evaluation.
• Timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Master's degree in Earth Science or a Master's degree plus 18 graduate hours in the discipline to be taught.
• Applicants with experience teaching aviation meteorology are preferred.
• Ability to teach remotely with technology; experience in online or virtual teaching preferred.
• Access to personal technology, including a home computer with appropriate capabilities for online teaching.
• A pre-employment background check at the College's expense is required.

These positions are paid by stipends for course assignments.
