Adjunct Faculty - Doctor of Chiropractic (Phoenix, Arizona)

Key Responsibilities

• Teach courses in alignment with course objectives and curricula.
• Evaluate student performance, provide feedback, and submit grades timely.
• Provide counseling and remedial instruction as needed.
• Update course outlines, materials, and syllabi in collaboration with department faculty.
• Employ active learning, lecture, lab, and self-paced instruction methods.
• Participate in meetings, departmental activities, and scholarly projects.
• Ensure teaching practices align with university policies and SCU Core Values.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

• Terminal Doctorate degree required (Doctor of Chiropractic for clinical courses).
• Must be licensure-eligible in Arizona and hold an Arizona DC license for clinical/therapeutic courses.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous teaching experience in an accredited higher education institution.
• Demonstrated scholarly production or research activity.

Skills & Abilities

• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in teams, manage multiple tasks, and respond under pressure.
• Knowledge of digital teaching platforms (Canvas, ExamSoft) and Microsoft Office.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Regularly required to talk, hear, use hands, and occasionally stand, walk, lift, or move up to 100 pounds.
• Work environment may include exposure to mechanical parts, chemicals, outdoor conditions, and moderate to loud noise.
