Key Responsibilities
- Teach courses in alignment with course objectives and curricula.
- Evaluate student performance, provide feedback, and submit grades timely.
- Provide counseling and remedial instruction as needed.
- Update course outlines, materials, and syllabi in collaboration with department faculty.
- Employ active learning, lecture, lab, and self-paced instruction methods.
- Participate in meetings, departmental activities, and scholarly projects.
- Ensure teaching practices align with university policies and SCU Core Values.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
- Terminal Doctorate degree required (Doctor of Chiropractic for clinical courses).
- Must be licensure-eligible in Arizona and hold an Arizona DC license for clinical/therapeutic courses.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous teaching experience in an accredited higher education institution.
- Demonstrated scholarly production or research activity.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in teams, manage multiple tasks, and respond under pressure.
- Knowledge of digital teaching platforms (Canvas, ExamSoft) and Microsoft Office.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Regularly required to talk, hear, use hands, and occasionally stand, walk, lift, or move up to 100 pounds.
- Work environment may include exposure to mechanical parts, chemicals, outdoor conditions, and moderate to loud noise.
