Adjunct Faculty - Design/Drafting

About the role

This position will facilitate learning for an associate in applied science degree in the Design/Drafting Technologies program. The focus of this instructional position will include teaching in AutoCAD 2D & 3D, SoildWorks, Revit, CADWorx, Civil 3D, GIS, & SDS2. This will range from fundamental drafting basics to advanced design techniques and 3D printing.

Responsibilities

  • Teach in AutoCAD 2D & 3D, SoildWorks, Revit, CADWorx, Civil 3D, GIS, & SDS2
  • Teach fundamental drafting basics to advanced design techniques and 3D printing
  • Collaborate with various constituencies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline from an accredited college or university; master’s degree preferred
  • Five (5) years documented successful work experience in related industry
  • Teaching experience in Higher Education preferred
  • Demonstrated success in collaborating with various constituencies

Experience

  • Evidences a history of demonstrating ethical and professional behavior
  • Valid Oklahoma driver’s license is required if performing the functions of the position requires the use of a personal or university vehicle

Skills, Proficiencies, And/or Knowledge

  • Ability to plan, organize and fulfill complex initiatives
  • Must be skilled in the use of appropriate software and technology related to design and drafting
  • Computer skills to include electronic communications, word processing, and the ability to use specific software associated with the position are necessary
  • Ability to maintain high standards of work, initiative, commitment, ethics, professional responsibility and judgment
  • Superior interpersonal skills—including the ability to effectively recognize and resolve complex problems in a constructive manner
  • Must exhibit characteristics of a team player, willing to take initiative and assume responsibility

Education

  • Master's degree in an appropriate discipline from an accredited college or university (preferred)
