Qualifications

  • Dental degree from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or Council for Higher Education Accreditation, and possess the following:
    • An active California dental license or special permit with no disciplinary actions;
    • A postsecondary credential generally recognized in the field of instruction;
    • A degree in the subject being taught or evaluated;
    • Documented background in educational methodology which can be verified through continuing education certificate;
    • Supervising dentist faculty shall have direct patient care experience within the previous five (5) years in the dental hygiene area to which he or she is assigned, which can be met by either:
      • Two (2) years' experience providing direct patient care as a dentist;
      • One (1) academic year of dental or dental hygienist level clinical teaching experience;
    • Active California dental license and current CPR.

    Compensation

    $78.86- $92.66 per hour.
