Adjunct Faculty Credit - American Sign Language

The World Languages Department

The World Languages Department at Harper College invites applicants for the position of adjunct instructor of American Sign Language. The instructor will teach introductory American Sign Language 101 and 102 courses beginning in January 2024.

Education Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree and/or appropriate credential in the field, ASLTA certification or ASLPI Level 4, or Certified Deaf Interpreter (CDI or DI).

Experience Requirements:

• Preferred teaching experience at the high school or college level or the equivalent of at least one year’s full-time non-teaching work experience in the field.

Required Documents:

• A CV and cover letter are required to complete the application process.
• Official transcripts are required upon hire.

Employment in contingent upon a Criminal Background Check.
