- Teaching needs vary from semester to semester, depending upon the needs of the department.
Job Description
Teach classes in academic Reading, Writing, Grammar, Communication Skills, and related areas to English as a Second Language students. Courses in the academic ESL program prepare students for higher education and professional goals. Courses range from high-beginning to advanced level.
Education Requirements
A Master’s degree in TESOL/Applied Linguistics or closely related area is required.
Experience Requirements
Required: Three years of teaching experience. Preferred: Teaching experience in English as a Second Language for Academic Purposes (EAP) in higher education in the United States.
Native or Near-Native Proficiency in English
Required.
