Laurel Ridge Community College is accepting applications for adjunct, part-time faculty positions in Communications. Positions are appointed on a course-by-course, semester basis as needed. Applicants must reside in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, or DC.
About the role
This position is for daytime, in-person teaching in Middletown. Responsibilities include teaching college-level courses, which may include distance learning on and off campus during the day, evening, and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Teach college-level Communications courses in person and online.
- Deliver instruction during daytime, evening, and weekend schedules as needed.
- Utilize instructional technology and online course management tools (e.g., Canvas).
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Communication or a Master’s degree with 18 graduate credits in Communications.
- Ability to use instructional technology effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Experience working with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students.
Preferred Qualifications
- Occupational experience in the field of Communications.
- Experience with Canvas or other online course management tools.
- College-level teaching experience, with online teaching experience a plus.
Pay
The credit hour pay range is $794.00–$1,375.50.
Schedule
Part-time, adjunct position with daytime, in-person teaching in Middletown. Classes may also be scheduled for evenings, weekends, or online as needed.
