Adjunct Faculty - Chemistry

Responsibilities

• Delivers instruction in 3-hour laboratory sections
• Prepares to teach by reviewing background lecture material, lab protocols, class worksheets, instructor notes, lecture videos, etc.
• Attends required pre-lab staff meetings, either in-person or via Zoom/Teams
• Grades assignments in a timely manner
• Communicates with course/lab coordinators in a professional and timely manner in preparation for teaching and grading
• Replies to emails from students, course/lab coordinators, and administrators in a timely manner
• Enters grades using the University’s learning management system
• Affords assistance to students through office hours or scheduled appointments, by Zoom/Teams, phone or email, and through other University-approved mechanisms
