Position Overview
Baker College seeks an Adjunct Faculty member to teach Automatic Transmissions at its Auto/Diesel Institute. The role involves providing practical, hands-on instruction, supporting student learning, and contributing to a student-first academic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Automatic Transmission courses in line with curriculum standards
- Inspire and empower students with real-world automotive skills
- Align teaching practices with Baker College’s student-first philosophy
- Act as a positive role model and brand ambassador for the College
- Support the College mission through teaching excellence, engagement, and professional conduct
Qualifications
- Required:
- A High School Diploma / GED
- ASE Certification in Automotive Automatic Transmissions
- Minimum of 5 years of professional work experience in the field
- Preferred:
- An Associate Degree in Automotive or related field
- ASE Certification in Automotive Automatic Transmissions
- Master ASE Certification (optional, strengthens application)
