Job Summary

Adjunct faculty to teach college level courses in the following areas: ASTR 1010 – Solar System Astronomy, ASTR 1020 – Stars and Galaxies Astronomy.

Job Duties

  • Teaching students on-ground lecture courses.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Candidates qualifying to teach Astronomy courses must have a minimum of a Master’s degree with 18 or more graduate semester hours in any combination of the qualifying fields (Astronomy or Physics) from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Candidates qualifying to teach Astronomy must have work experience in Astronomy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience teaching lecture desired.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to teach traditional face-to-face classes.
  • Use of technology (Zoom, D2L) to support student learning is expected.
