About the role
The Department of Graduate Nursing in the College of Nursing and Health Innovation, the University of Texas at Arlington, invites applications for a part time, temporary, non-tenure track faculty in the Adult Gerontology Primary Care NP Program.
Responsibilities
- Provides instruction within the College of Nursing and Health Innovation.
- Reports directly to the Department Chair.
- Maintains academic standards as established by the university, CONHI and Department of Graduate Nursing.
- Teaches students in online, clinical, laboratory, and classroom settings.
- Assumes responsibility for and/or participates in the planning and organization of courses to which assigned.
- Participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of school, program, course and student activities.
Requirements
- Masters in Nursing or Post Graduate Certificate in Nursing.
- A current, unencumbered AGPCNP/Adult NP/Gero NP license in the State of Texas.
- A current board certification as an AGPCNP/Adult NP/Gero NP from AANP or ANCC.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience evaluating, diagnosing, and managing patients in an adult/gerontology primary care setting.
- Will remain active in evaluating, diagnosing, and managing patients in an adult gerontology primary care setting or subspecialty practice to retain employment.
Qualifications
- Earned Doctorate in Nursing or related field (preferred).
- A minimum of 1 year experience teaching or precepting.
