Duties & Responsibilities

  • Teaching courses in accounting as needed.
  • These classes could be inclusive of all areas within the discipline; including (but not limited to), financial, managerial, auditing, taxation and accounting information systems.
  • Meet all designated course instruction guidelines.
  • Grade assignments and exams in a timely manner based on instructions/rubric provided.
  • Respond to student inquiries within 24 hours.
  • Submit final grades according to School policy.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree.
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from various backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as an employee at VCU.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree or comparable work experience as a licensed accounting professional.
