About the role
Xavier University is seeking qualified candidates to join its pool of potential adjunct faculty for the 2026-2027 academic year. This posting is for part-time, non-tenure-track positions in the Accelerated Bachelor of Nursing in Science (ABSN) track.
Responsibilities
- Planning the student’s clinical experience at the direction of the faculty members
- Support appropriate to the clinical situation
- Contribute to the evaluation of the student’s performance
- Serve as a mentor and advisor to students
- Supervise, teach, and evaluate up to 8 students in the clinical settings
- Guide students through simulation experiences based on course objectives and student learning needs
Requirements
- Completed an approved registered nursing education program
- At least two years of experience in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing; graduate degree preferred
- Current, unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio and in state of practicum setting, if applicable

Adjunct faculty contracts are issued on a semester-by-semester basis, depending on departmental needs and student enrollment.
