Adjunct Counselor (Part-Time)

Duties

• Providing individual and group counseling
• Intervening with academically at-risk students
• Consulting with faculty and staff regarding student concerns
• Attending to students in crisis
• Assisting students facing financial emergencies
• Facilitating workshops and seminars
• Supporting departmental programming

Education/Experience

• Minimum of a Master’s degree in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Social Work or related mental health field with experience, training, and knowledge in individual/group counseling and assessment related to the academic, career and personal development of college students required
• Applicants must possess an active LPC, LCPC, LSW, or LCSW license that is valid in the state of Illinois

Qualifications

• Part TimeHours: The position requires a strong commitment to promoting student learning, development and success through holistic counseling services to meet the changing needs of a highly diverse student population
• Qualifications: Applicants should have academic training and or experience with counseling multicultural and linguistically diverse students
• Individuals with fluency in more than one language are encouraged to apply
• Preference for applicants that can work Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays

Salary/Wage

$33.00/hr

General hours

• Center is open from 8:30am-6:00pm Monday and Tuesday, and 8:30am-5:00pm Wednesday through Friday
• Hours vary during the summer, peak times, and break periods
