Adjunct Communication Instructor

Job Summary

Part‑time adjunct instructor of Communication. To teach one or two lower‑division courses per semester as needed. Most adjunct teaching opportunities in Communication are in three courses: COMM 1020 Principles of Public Speaking, COMM 2110 Interpersonal and Small Group Communication, and COMM 1130 Media Writing. This is a pooled position; applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time the pool will expire and applicants will be notified.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Communication

Note: Applicants with an undergraduate degree in a discipline other than Communication will be considered if they also possess a graduate degree in Communication or a closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Communication or a closely related field
• Some teaching experience
