About the role
The Visual Communications Department at Farmingdale State College periodically seeks adjunct faculty members to teach courses in graphic design, interaction design, and art history. Courses offered include drawing, 2D 3D, and 4D design; color theory; typography; graphic design; digital media; photography; pastels; calligraphy; watercolor; acrylic painting; illustration; advertising; and web design.
Responsibilities
Teach assigned courses in graphic design, interaction design, and art history. Maintain high standards of instruction and student learning outcomes. Participate in departmental meetings and committee work. Stay current with industry trends and incorporate new technologies into teaching methods.
Requirements
- A minimum of a Master's Degree
- Current professional work and experience in studio art, graphic design, web design, within the last 5-10 years
- Mastery of craft and expertise in current tools and technologies
Qualifications
