About the role
The Department of Diagnostic Health Professions - Clinical Laboratory Sciences (CLS) Program at Long Island University-Post Campus, Brookville, NY, invites applications for Adjunct Assistant Professor to teach CLS major courses, specifically clinical chemistry, hematology and blood bank, immunology beginning AY26-27.
Responsibilities
- Teach CLS major courses, specifically clinical chemistry, hematology and blood bank, immunology
- May also include non-CLS courses offered by the biomedical sciences section of the department
- Experience with interprofessional education
- Experience with assessment of student learning outcomes
Requirements
- ASCP-certified with NYS CLS Generalist License
- M.S. or Ph.D. in the areas of teaching interest
- B.S. will be considered if ASCP-certified with teaching and clinical laboratory experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Three years of clinical laboratory experience preferred
- Three years of teaching experience preferred: classroom, seminars, and one-to-one
- Ability to teach various courses and labs in the CLS major curriculum
Qualifications
- ASCP-certified with NYS CLS Generalist License
