Adjunct Assistant Professor - Clinical Laboratory Science Program

About the role

The Department of Diagnostic Health Professions - Clinical Laboratory Sciences (CLS) Program at Long Island University-Post Campus, Brookville, NY, invites applications for Adjunct Assistant Professor to teach CLS major courses, specifically clinical chemistry, hematology and blood bank, immunology beginning AY26-27.

Responsibilities

• Teach CLS major courses, specifically clinical chemistry, hematology and blood bank, immunology
• May also include non-CLS courses offered by the biomedical sciences section of the department
• Experience with interprofessional education
• Experience with assessment of student learning outcomes

Requirements

• ASCP-certified with NYS CLS Generalist License
• M.S. or Ph.D. in the areas of teaching interest
• B.S. will be considered if ASCP-certified with teaching and clinical laboratory experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Three years of clinical laboratory experience preferred
• Three years of teaching experience preferred: classroom, seminars, and one-to-one
• Ability to teach various courses and labs in the CLS major curriculum

Qualifications

• ASCP-certified with NYS CLS Generalist License
