Department Information
The Department of Mathematics is the winner of the 2013 American Mathematical Society Award for Exemplary Program or Achievement in a Mathematics Department. The Department of Mathematics is a major center for mathematics research and education in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and North Texas. It serves more than 10,000 students annually and features nationally recognized faculty with outstanding accomplishments in teaching, research, and service. The department offers a variety of degree programs, including BA, BS, MA, MS, and PhD in pure and applied mathematics, statistics, and mathematics education. It currently offers over 100 sections of lower-division mathematics courses per semester.
