Adjunct Assistant Instructor: Rehabilitation & Health Services

The Department of Rehabilitation & Health Services seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Assistant Instructor Pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for the Fall 2026, Spring 2027, and Summer 2027 semesters. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester and openings to teach these courses develop on a periodic basis, depending on department teaching needs.
Department Summary
The Department of Rehabilitation & Health Services is an interdisciplinary department that houses a Ph.D. in Health Services Research, Master’s degrees in Rehabilitation Counseling and Health Services Administration; Bachelor’s degrees in Public Health, Rehab Studies, and Addiction Studies and minor in Applied Gerontology. UNT has a highly diverse campus with a wide range of languages spoken in addition to English. We welcome candidates who have experience with HSI/MSIs and/or who speak Spanish, Vietnamese, American Sign Language, Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin and other variations), Arabic, Tagalog, Farsi, French, or/and Yoruba.
Requirements
- Clinical background and experience in clinical rehabilitation, rehabilitation, clinical mental health, and/or community counseling.
- Master’s degree in counseling or counseling-related discipline from an accredited program.
- No less than three years of clinical counseling practice experience.
- Master’s level license and/or certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three or more years of experience facilitating group counseling.
- Ph.D. in counseling or related field from an accredited program.
Work Environment
Communicating with others to exchange information. No adverse environmental conditions expected. Work Schedule varies based on assignment.
