Adel Elementary Preschool Associate 26-27 (Part-time)

ADM is seeking a highly motivated, quality applicant for a 1:1 preschool associate position at Adel Elementary, a preschool through 1st grade building. The staff at Adel Elementary is incredibly caring and works collaboratively.

About the Role

This associate role assists the teacher in supporting specific learning goals by working with individual students or small groups to help them achieve appropriate skill levels. The schedule is 8:30 AM–12:00 PM, Monday through Thursday.

Responsibilities

• Work with individual students or small groups to help achieve skills and understanding of class material.
• Support students with a wide range of needs, including academic, behavioral, and social.
• Examples of duties:
  • Read to students, listen to students read, and participate in other forms of oral communication.
  • Guide students toward making appropriate choices and accepting responsibility for their behavior.
  • Assist the teacher in devising special strategies for reinforcing material or skills based on individual student needs, interests, and abilities.
  • Alert the regular teacher to any problems or special information regarding an individual student.
  • Supervise students during arrival, recess, dismissal, and may provide lunchroom supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work well with staff, parents, and students.

Pay

Pay range: $16.36 – $18.16 per hour.

Schedule

8:30 AM – 12:00 PM, Monday through Thursday. Ideal start date: August 31, 2026.
