Responsibilities

  • Initiate Project Management processes and tools for all new projects.
  • Manage all milestones and trackers for projects and keep dates and milestones up to date and accurate.
  • Communicate project trackers and other communication on a regular basis to internal and external customers.
  • Manage all pre-production meetings, manufacturing meetings, and customer meetings regarding new projects and customer requests.
  • Facilitate all DFM (Design for Manufacturability) meetings as required by the customer or manufacturing.
  • Facilitate a post-mortem meeting and project close-out after reviewing all process performance to rate and throughput, scrap, material usage, profitability, inspection performance, on-time delivery, etc.
  • Aid in part cost estimation.
  • Develop manufacturing models, prints, routings, and work instructions for all project components and assemblies.
  • Work with manufacturing to develop the processes necessary to take the product from quoted design to product realization and shipment for components and assemblies.
  • Support the designed processes as needed regarding fixtures, models and drawings, manufacturing research, part handling, etc.
  • Troubleshoot processes with manufacturing that may be problematic or opportunities for improvements.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced team members.
  • Resolve non-conformances, coordinate root cause analysis and implementation.
  • Train employees on processes that are developed by engineering.
  • Participate in customer visits, key contact for customer projects.
  • Work with the Quality Engineering to develop capable and certified processes to support and maintain a continuous flow of quality products to our customer.
  • Active participation in OE (Operations Excellence).
  • Origination and assistance with other OE projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or other Engineering science.
  • Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing setting; including state of the art manufacturing technology/concepts and cost reductions.
  • Fluent with a 3D CAD software (i.e. Solidworks, Creo, Unigraphics, etc.).
  • Ability to control and hold effective meetings with an agenda and meeting minutes.
  • Ability to understand and interpret GD&T, blueprints and technical documents.
  • Knowledge of machining processes (AM Machines, CNC, inspection methods, and properties of materials).
  • Ability to follow through on commitments and to manage, motivate and hold peers accountable to activities and milestones related to the projects being managed.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Advanced computer skills with ERP systems (ProfitKey a plus), Office 365, and other business-related software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, experience with root cause analysis techniques and ability to develop and implement corrective actions.
  • Manufacturing process design and validation experience.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing practices.
  • High level of energy, personal accountability, and integrity.
  • Highly detail oriented; checks own work, keeps accurate records, organizes information effectively.
  • Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple tasks, and short deadlines.

Pay

USD $90,800.00 - USD $136,200.00 /Yr.
