Addictions Counselor

About the role

Counsels substance use disorder patients and provides therapeutic interventions and treatment to facilitate recovery.

Schedule

• Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• Wednesdays and Fridays: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
• One Saturday per month required from 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM

Requirements

• High School / GED
• 1–3 years of related experience
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Addiction Counselor Trainee (ADT) status or higher level of certification/licensure (CSC-AD, CAC-AD, LGADC, LCADC, LCSW-C, or LCPC, or higher)
• Trainee status must take required exam for certification within 2 years of being hired; organization will pay for the first exam
• Trainee status must obtain certification within timeframe allotted by the Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists

Pay

$24.38 to $36.57 based on experience

About Hospital

Grace Medical Center’s outpatient substance use disorder treatment program offers many types of treatment and services to patients who struggle with the disease of addiction. All services are certified by the State of Maryland and are Joint Commission accredited.

Patient population includes those who have a diagnosis of opioid use disorder and/or substance use disorder. Our care team also helps to manage acute and chronic illnesses.
