About the Role
We're seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant specializing in Addiction Medicine to provide comprehensive outpatient care in Fairbanks, AK. The provider will deliver both in-person and telemedicine services to patients across recovery stages.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments for substance use disorders
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Initiate and manage medications such as buprenorphine and naltrexone
- Monitor treatment response and adjust medications as needed
- Review lab results and collaborate with behavioral health teams
- Document care in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
- Active DEA license
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
No prior addiction medicine experience required.
