Addiction Counselor

About the role

The role focuses on supporting patients with substance use disorders through individual counseling and group facilitation. It requires a trauma-informed approach and collaboration with various teams to ensure comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of patients with substance use disorders
• Conduct assessments, screenings, and intakes
• Facilitate and co-facilitate therapeutic groups
• Engage in crisis intervention and psychoeducation
• Collaborate with internal and external teams
• Maintain accurate documentation

Requirements

• CASAC required, CASAC T or CASAC (Full) required
• CASAC T with minimum 1 year experience will be considered
• Relevant certification or licensure in addiction counseling
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Strong understanding of trauma-informed care practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of referral processes and patient care coordination
• Experience with psychoeducation and therapeutic group facilitation

Pay

$60,000-$65,000 per year

Schedule

Shifts are from 01:00pm-09:00pm for 3 Days, and other 2 days are Flexible
