ADC Engineer, Cryptography / Identity

About the role

The AWS Identity & Access team is building and delivering the next generation of cloud computing security that supports public AWS offerings like S3, EC2, and CloudFront. We are innovating new ways of building massively scalable distributed security systems involving identity management, federation, web services security, single sign-on, and much more. We enable our customers to control some of the most sensitive secrets on the Internet.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, operate, and scale a massive always-on distributed system that is core to all of AWS.
• Work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and deploy secure cloud solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to other engineers and teams.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and standards.

Requirements

• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above.
• Experience with AWS services such as IAM, SAML, OAuth, and others.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, security principles, and best practices.
• Experience with Linux systems administration, scripting, and automation tools.
• Knowledge of cloud security concepts and technologies.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

Qualifications

• Cloud+ or GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional) or GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials) or SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner), or Associate's degree.
• 3+ years Linux systems administration experience.
• 3+ years technical troubleshooting / support experience.
• 2+ years of networking experience (TCP/IP).

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $116,900.00 - $167,400.00 annually.

Schedule

Full-time position.
