Job Description:Client is seeking a qualified test engineer for the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) Validation department at the Chelsea Proving Ground (CPG) Facility.The Vehicle Validation engineer will be responsible for executing test procedures to validate ADAS performance on Client and competitive benchmark vehicles.Key Job DutiesThe test engineer will assist with driving vehicles, collecting and processing data, and compiling resultsPosition Requirements Basic Qualifications:Able to work independently and in a teamHands-on able to drive vehicles, clean driving record, able to obtain heavy truck certifications (e.g. CDL), install instrumentation, remove camo, etc.Understand vehicle EE CAN communication CDA/Diagnostic tool capableExperience with vehicle electrical troubleshooting - connecting to vehicles, clearing faults, reset/flash modulesFamiliar with ADAS features from a driver/customer levelExperience on data acquisition systems (analogue and digital data filtering and logging) and post processing tool (i.e.Matlab, labview)Ability to support 1st and 2nd shiftsPreferred Qualifications:1 year + ADAS or Automotive Engineering work experienceVehicle CAN -- working depth (Canalyzer or other CAN tools)Vehicle testing experienceCompleting DVP&R, Following Test Procedures Ground Truth instrumentation use, Cameras, dGPS systems, etc.Proving Grounds facilities experienceExperience working with Mechanics/TechniciansBasics on statistical analysisWriting Test Procedures, DVP&R'sTrailer towing experience All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment and will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, age, genetic information, or pregnancy.Please beware of job seeker scams and see this important notice on our careers page for more information about our recruiting process.Compliance Notice: Alten USA is a federal contractor subject to the requirements of the Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA) and Executive Order 11246.
