ACUTE REHAB PHYSICAL THERAPIST, Inpatient Unit, Per Diem
Responsibilities
- Directs the therapy department certified staff, including therapy assistants and aides.
- Observes and evaluates treatment effect, recommends changes to physicians as needed.
- Performs assessments on all patients as related to the therapy requested and provided, and reassesses as per policy.
- Works independently, demonstrates critical thinking, complex problem solving, and decisive judgment.
- Applies professional practice and regulatory requirements.
- Ensures that documentation meets requirements and treatment uses an evidence-based approach.
- Ensures patient charges are accurate and entered on a timely basis.
- Participates in infection control, departmental equipment training, and organizational safety programs.
Qualifications
- Current State Physical Therapy Licensure.
- Three (3) or more years of previous experience in all aspects of physical therapy, preferred.
- Current BLS certification.
