ACUTE REHAB PHYSICAL THERAPIST, Inpatient Unit, Per Diem

Responsibilities

• Directs the therapy department certified staff, including therapy assistants and aides.
• Observes and evaluates treatment effect, recommends changes to physicians as needed.
• Performs assessments on all patients as related to the therapy requested and provided, and reassesses as per policy.
• Works independently, demonstrates critical thinking, complex problem solving, and decisive judgment.
• Applies professional practice and regulatory requirements.
• Ensures that documentation meets requirements and treatment uses an evidence-based approach.
• Ensures patient charges are accurate and entered on a timely basis.
• Participates in infection control, departmental equipment training, and organizational safety programs.

Qualifications

• Current State Physical Therapy Licensure.
• Three (3) or more years of previous experience in all aspects of physical therapy, preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
