About the role

This position performs prescribed radiographic procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures, and protocols, ensuring optimal care and treatment to the patient population.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic procedures and analysis according to departmental guidelines, using independent judgment and learned methodologies.
• Educates patients and families regarding procedures, treatments, risk factors, and prevention.
• Demonstrates professional behavior and fosters teamwork to achieve quality patient outcomes.
• Produces high-quality images and prepares them with pertinent patient information for timely interpretation.
• Prepares and maintains accurate documentation.
• Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements and troubleshoots issues as needed.
• Maintains a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors, adhering to safety policies.
• Ensures ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to radiology practice, including confidentiality.
• Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and materials to ensure non-interruption of services.
• Performs other duties as assigned to support efficient department workflow.

Requirements

• Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited school of Radiology program.
• National certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• State licensure by the applicable regulatory agency, if required.
• BLS certification.
• Clinical knowledge typically achieved with 1 year of experience.
• Effective communication skills, human relations skills, and the ability to analyze data and solve problems.

Schedule

Assignment-based, varied shifts (Sunday–Saturday). Day, mid, and overnight shifts available.

Registry/Per Diem positions do not have guaranteed hours and do not include a medical benefits package. Completion of post-offer Occupational Health physical assessment, drug screen, and background check (including employment, criminal, and education) is required.
