Acute Float Pool-RN-Critical Care
Position Purpose
This position provides optimal patient care utilizing knowledge and skills within the context of evidence-based nursing practice and the theory of human caring. The RN is accountable for individualized patient care and outcomes over an entire episode of care.
Nature and Scope
This position must provide optimal patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and families. This position must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, motor/sensor, psychosocial, and safety appropriate to the age of the patient served and meet standards of quality as measured by the unit/department special populations competency standards. When possible, the family or those significant to the family are considered as part of the assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation efforts of this position.
Minimum Qualifications
- Name: Education
- Description: Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Name: Experience
- Description: One year of acute critical care experience preferred.
- Name: License(s)
- Description: Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Nevada Registered Nurse license.
- Name: Certification(s)
- Description: Ability to obtain and maintain a current BLS certification by The American Heart Association standards required at time of hire. Ability to obtain and maintain a current ACLS per The American Heart Association Standards required within 3 months of hire. Ability to obtain and maintain a current PALS per The American Heart Association Standards required within 6 months of hired.
