Essential Functions
- Plans physical therapy program for each patient based on functional, timed, measurable and objective goals while safely using modalities and appropriate exercise or other interventions as indicated.
- Applies diagnostic and prognostic muscle, nerve, joint and functional ability tests.
- Directs and aids patients in active and passive exercises, muscle re-education and functional training using pulleys, weights, steps, inclined surfaces, assistive devices and other functional aide equipment devices.
- Communicates effectively in a positive, professional manner with patients, physicians and various interdisciplinary team members.
- Utilizes electronic medical record documentation/charge systems to effectively evaluate, record, and report on patient progress for review by other members of the rehabilitation team.
Additional Job Description
- Must be licensed in the State of South Carolina and possess a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy.
- Current CPR Certification.
- Some experience is preferred but not required.
- DPT preferred but not required.
