Acute Care Physical Therapist

About the Role

MonHealth HealthWorks, the acute care therapy provider within Mon Health in Morgantown, WV, is seeking per diem (PRN) physical therapists (PT) for as-needed coverage in our 188-bed acute care hospital. This role offers flexible scheduling with no set hours or time commitments, providing coverage for census influx, vacation, sick leave, and personal leave of current clinicians. The hospital operates year-round, every day except Christmas, with day shift hours for clinical teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional rehabilitation services: evaluate, treat, direct, and document patient care.
• Stay compliant with state, local, and federal regulations.
• Communicate openly with colleagues, patients, families, and physicians.
• Participate in team meetings.

Patient Care Focus

Provide advanced treatment and comprehensive care for individuals with:

• Brain Injury
• Spinal Cord Injury
• Stroke
• Amputation
• Neurological Disorders
• Orthopedic Conditions
• Multiple Traumas

Requirements

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• Current State physical therapist license or eligibility for licensure in the State of practice.
• CPR certification.

Previous experience is highly preferred, but new graduate physical therapists will be considered.

Schedule

PRN (as-needed) with availability required on Sundays, Saturdays, and holidays.
